PNPA now accepting applicants for cadetship program

The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) will administer the Cadet Admission Test for the four-year Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS) Cadetship Program on October 29 in 23 testing centers nationwide, with Cebu Normal University as the test center for Central Visayas applicants.

Successful cadet applicants will compose PNPA Class 2011 as full government scholars and are entitled to receive monthly training pay and allowances. PNPA graduates are appointed the initial rank of Inspectors (1st Lieutenant in the military) and are assured of regular commissionship in the PNP, Fire and Jail Bureaus.

Qualifications for the Cadetship Program are as follows; a natural born Filipino citizen; male or female, single with no legal obligation to support a child or children; at least 4th year high school student and to graduate prior to admission; ages 17-21 years old (born between March 15, 1985 to March 14, 1990); at least 162.5 cm (5ft 4 in) in height for male, and 157.5 cm (5ft 2 in) for female; physically and mentally fit; of good moral character and with no criminal, administrative, civil and other derogatory record(s).

Free application forms are available at PNP, BFP and BJMP Regional, Provincial and municipal units, Police Regional Training School, PNPA Alumni Association Inc., local government units and selected secondary schools, colleges and universities or one may download the form from the PNPA website at www.pnpa.edu.ph.
