Department of Education-7 director Carolino Mordeno welcomes the plan of new DepEd Secretary Jesli Lapuz to revive the National College Entrance Examination for graduating high school students seeking to enter college.
Mordeno, in a radio interview, said that he agrees with Lapuz that not all students who intend to enter college are fit to take up a four-year course.
He hopes that the restoration of the NCEE will be implemented next year. However, there is a need yet for a bill on such move to be passed in Congress.
Mordeno said he has already anticipated that the move will be met by protests. - Flor Z. Perolina
