Man attacks buddy, gets killed instead

A 55-year-old widower was killed and almost decapitated by the man he first attacked with a bolo after a drunken argument in barangay Maslog, Danao City, at about 1 a.m. Sunday.
The victim was Benedicto Roco, a farmer, while the suspect was identified as Mente Abella, according to a policeman who went to the scene after receiving the report from barangay tanod chief Allan Rom.
SPO2 Ramir Oliverio said in his investigation that Roco, after getting into an argument with Abella while they were having a drink, went home to get his bolo and returned to attack Abella.
Abella was able to grab the bolo and use it in hacking Roco once in the neck, which was almost chopped off.
