Iranian teenager indicted for alleged rape of maid

The Cebu City prosecutor's office yesterday indicted finally the teenaged Iranian for allegedly raping his housemaid over the weekend, but recommended P120,000 bail for the accused.

Prosecutor Nicolas Sellon yesterday filed the case at the Regional Trial Court criminal division against the 17-year-old Iranian, Mohammad Norouzi, who was accused by his 22-year-old housemaid of raping her last Sunday and Monday.

The Iranian's father, Nematollah, who the housemaid had pointed at as the first one who allegedly raped her on Sunday, escaped last Monday and is now believed to have left Cebu already.

The victim, who is a native of barangay Palanas in Alcantara town, said she was with Lerex Manpower Agency where she got employment as housemaid for the Norouzi household in a condominium unit along F. Llamas Street at barangay Punta Princesa.

The victim told the police that she was washing the dishes on the first day of her work on Sunday when she noticed that Mohammad and Nematollah were laughing while staring at her.

Shortly after Nematollah allegedly grabbed her towards the bed where she was stripped and raped in front of his son who later on took his turn to rape her, the victim alleged.

Members of the Punta Princessa Police Station rescued the victim after another helper in the household texted the manager of the manpower agency about the incident. - Fred P. Languido
