Iranian teenager nabbed for alleged rape of maid

-
A 17-year-old Iranian was arrested Monday afternoon for allegedly raping the day before a 22-year-old house maid in the condominium unit where he has been staying with his father at barangay Camputhaw.

The young Iranian was detained at the City Police detention cell but his father, Nematollah Norouzi, who the maid also accused of raping her, was able to escape and the police has since then been tracking him down.

The women's desk of the City Police took into its custody the victim who was subsequently taken to the so-called "pink room" for medical examination.

The victim had just been hired last Saturday, through a manpower agency in barangay Punta Princesa, to work as maid for the Iranians whose unit was at the 14th floor of a condominium in Camputhaw.

The victim narrated to the police that while she was washing the dishes last Sunday, the older Iranian suddenly grabbed and dragged her to the window of their unit, saying "Piyait must die."

She further alleged that the Iranian father forced her to lie on the bed where he raped her while the son was watching. After the father was done, the son allegedly took his turn to rape her.

On Monday morning, the father raped her again, she alleged, and in the afternoon that day, the father-and-son duo took her back to the agency to request the manager, Leomario Manugas, to have her replaced with another maid.

This gave the victim the chance to confide to Manugas what she allegedly had been through in the house of the Iranians.

Manugas then called the police for assistance but the older Iranian probably sensed something and surreptitiously left the agency office just in time before the policemen arrived. The teenage son who was left behind got arrested. - Edwin Ian Melecio
