Mandaue police reshuffles Posts of station chiefs

At least five police stations including two branches of the Mandaue City Police Office would be affected by a reorganization to be enforced effective July 16.

City police director Eduardo Catabas said the stations are station 2 (Subangdako), station 3 (Basak) and station 4 (Casuntingan).

Also included in the reshuffling is the chief of Intelligence and Investigation branch and Operation branch.

"Walay labot ang statement ni Mayor Ouano. This is purely routine lang," Catabas said.

"We need to improve some gray areas para effective sila" he said.

Earlier Mandaue City Mayor Thadeo Ouano expressed concern about the reported payola system being enjoyed by some police officers in the campaign against video karera machines.

Effective July 16, P/Insp. Jimmy Aquisanda of station 2, would be transferred to Station 4 in barangay Casuntingan, presently headed by P/SInsp. Jose Lidawa. Lidawa would be sent to headquarters.

To replace Aquisanda is P/Insp. Elderberto Castaneda as Subangdako police chief.

Station 3 chief P/Inbsp. Jesus Basco would be assigned to the Mandaue City police headquarters. He would be replaced by P/SInsp. Segfred Torribio.

City operation would be headed by P/Insp. Marvin Edipas.

Excluded from the reshuffle are station 1 (Centro) which is headed by P/SInsp. Abraham Ocampo, station 5 (Opao) by P/SInsp. Leoncio Balinguat, and station 6 (Canduman) by P/Insp. Illuminado Alin. - Ramil V. Ayuman
