Two murder suspects nabbed separately

Three suspects of different murder cases were arrested separately Thursday evening-two were caught in barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City while the other fell to policemen of Daanbantayan town.

Another suspect for stabbing in Daanbantayan meanwhile surrendered to a tanod in that town that same night while a female robbery suspect was arrested in Cordova town earlier in the morning that Thursday also.

In Cebu City's barangay Kalunasan, policemen from Compostela town, led by PO2 Elmer Rondina, arrested 32-year-old Danilo Cuervo Lima and 74-year-old Antonio Lima who were both wanted for murder in that town. They are now detained and no bail has been recommended.

The other murder suspect, Dominador Arrabis, 37, was caught at a waiting shed in barangay Malingin, Daanbantayan town while apparently waiting for a ride to escape.

Arrabis was pinpointed as the one who shot dead Aniceto Maquilan, 45, who was with his wife Elisa walking on their way home earlier that Thursday evening.

At almost the same time in Daanbantayan, tanod Jonathan Arrogante turned over his 23-year-old relative, Isagani Arrogante, to the town police station for stabbing and wounding Jeffrey Pitogo.

Meanwhile a woman, wanted for robbery in Bohol province, was also arrested in Cordova town Thursday morning.

Cordova policemen, led by SPO3 Felix Espinosa, served the arrest warrant to Prima Luga who is now detained temporarily at the town jail with a recommended bail of P24,000. - Gregg M. Rubio
