SPO3 Ricardo Echavez, PO3 Renato Abellar and PO2 Junar Rey Barangan and a police asset were conducting a buy-bust operation against a suspected drug pusher identified only as Berto in the said place.
After the transaction had been sealed the police asset signaled the three policemen who then tried to arrest Berto.
But Berto and his companions struggled with the policemen, as a result Abellar sustained bruises and non-threatening stab wounds.
Echavez and Barangan ran to get assistance from their office but the suspect had already escaped when back up arrived.
All the police had to show for that buy-bust operations was the two small packs of shabu Berto exchanged for their P300 marked money. - Gregg M. Rubio
