A man who lived away from his wife and their six-year-old son killed himself after his wife refused to let him take their son.
Rene Redoble, alias "Renren", 28, shot himself dead in the house of his parents where he was living in sitio Saksak, barangay Bahay, Sibonga town, last Thursday afternoon.
Policemen who responded to the alarm found the body of Redoble sprawled on the floor of his bedroom bathed in his own blood.
Recovered from the scene was the magnum .357 caliber revolver Redoble used to shoot himself.
The mother, Rosita, said her son had differences with his wife over the past several months and has not been in constant communication with her, who is living in Barili town.
Prior to the incident, Rene went to Barili last Wednesday for the birthday of his son.
The following day, Rosita said Rene told her his wife did not let their son go with him and alleged that his presence only aggravated their problem.
Rosita narrated further that her son told her that he could no longer live with this problem and that he wanted to die. - Gregg M. Rubio
