1 dead, 2 women hurt in "vigilante" shooting

Two men on a motorcycle shot three people at the corner of Gil Garcia and Escario streets early morning yesterday, killing one of them. Two of the victims were women.
Security guards Alfie dela Cerna, 24, of ASDA Security Agency; Rommel Arellano, 30, of Top Detective Security Agency and Teodoro Estellore Jr., 35, of Phil. Bets Security Agency said that they were on duty at the Samsung Customer Service Plaza when the shooting happened.
They said two unidentified men on a motorcycle shot Lee Tom Wong, 24; Marivic Dumdum, 37, and Ernelyn Cusi, 19, all residents of M. Velez St., Brgy. Capitol Site. The three were allegedly walking together along the road when the assailants arrived on board the motorcycle, one of them disembarked and shot the victims several times.
Dumdum was hit in the left arm while Cusi in her right. Wong was shot several times in different parts of his body. Even after Wong had fallen to the pavement, the assailant continued pumping bullets into him killing him instantly before running back to the waiting motorcycle that was last seen speeding towards Fuente Osmeña.
Dumdum and Cusi were immediately brought to Cebu City Medical Center, while Wong's body was brought to St. Francis Funeral Homes for autopsy.
Police recovered six empty .45 cal. shells and two slugs from the crime scene. - Emerald Dann L. Labay, UP Masscom intern
