Fire hits rice warehouse at the downtown area

A fire hit a warehouse, filled with sacks of rice, at Legaspi Extension, Cebu City, yesterday noon and left an estimated damage of P150,000.
Fire Officer 2 Christopher Orbiso said the alarm was received at 12:33 p.m. and responding firefighters had it contained two minutes after their arrival at the scene.
Orbiso said For Sure Marketing, owned by Condrado Quimbo, has been occupying the Cebu Bonded Warehouse, which was a concrete edifice and only partially burned.
There was no reported injury or casualty in the fire that was initially believed to have started at the office of For Sure Marketing inside the warehouse.
Orbiso said however investigations, conducted by Senior FO2 Alicasim Espinola, still continue to determine the cause of the fire. - Norvie S. Misa
