Drug pushing suspect falls in Carcar buy-bust

-
A suspected drug pusher was arrested in a police buy-bust operation at sitio Dapdap, barangay Poblacion 3, Carcar town Tuesday afternoon that also led to the confiscation of more sachets of shabu from this house.

The suspect Rickel Remo, 42 and a married resident of the place, was first collared after he allegedly gave a small sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer, set by operatives under SPO1s Roland Navales and Mileton Agadier.

In a subsequent body search, policemen got from him, four sachets of shabu, the P100 bust money, and another P100 cash that is allegedly proceeds from his illegal trade.

Another police team, led by SPO1 Erasmo Rosel, brought Remo to the latter's house where a search warrant, issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Fortunato de Gracia, was enforced.

The search in Remo's house allegedly yielded five sachets and medium packs of suspected shabu scattered in the comfort room, drug paraphernalia, and P7,640 cash also believed to be the proceeds of his illegal trade.

Remo was later taken to the Carcar Police Station for detention, pending the filing of charges against him, while the seized illegal items were sent to the PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.

Navales yesterday told The Freeman that Remo is currently known as a street-level pusher in his place and in neighboring barangay Liburon, but was a level-2 pusher of the infamous Navarro group before. - Norvie S. Misa
