The regional office of Pag-IBIG Fund now has two branches based in Cebu City and Mandaue City to cater to the increasing number of its members in Central Visayas.
Pag-IBIG Fund regional manager Victoria dela Peña said that as of today, Cebu is second to Makati City in terms of active membership.
The Pag-IBIG Fund in Central Visayas has 431,550 active members covering the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, Oriental Negros and Siquijor.
The existing Pag-IBIG Fund office at the Cebu Business Park will remain as the office for the Cebu City branch, which covers Talisay City, all municipalities in the south and the Tuburan town in the western side of the province.
The provinces of Oriental Negros and Siquijor are also under the jurisdiction of Cebu City branch.
Meanwhile, the Mandaue City branch covers the cities of Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu and Danao, all municipalities in the north, Tabuelan town and the islands of Bantayan and Camotes. It also covers Bohol.
This distribution is based on geographical location, according to De la Peña.
As of now, personnel of the Mandaue City branch are still accepting transactions at the Pag-IBIG Fund Tower at Cebu Business Park because their new office along A.S. Fortuna Street is not yet completed. - Gregg M. Rubio
