The victims were 34-year-old Danilo Llanto, of north reclamation area in Cebu City, and his brother Fortunato Llanto Jr, a resident of Ibabao in Cordova.
Cordova police investigator Allan Maglangit said Danilo visited Fortunato in Cordova and the two had a a few drinks. Later in the evening, the two went to the jeepney parking area where Danilo was to take a ride back home to Cebu City.
On their way, they passed by a volleyball court where a group of people, allegedly led by 24-year-old Lando Tumulak, took some thrill out of the two brothers.
Danilo suffered bruises and two stab wounds in his back and arms while Fortunato got bruises and a stab wound in his abdomen. Both were taken to the Mactan Doctors Hospital.
"Gipareglahan ni ang duha ka manag-soon," Manlangit said, adding that charges will be filed against Tumulak and his three still unnamed companions.
Tumulak is still at large.
