3 men rob moneychanger worker

Three unidentified men robbed an employee of a moneychanger in barangay Mabolo yesterday morning, while he was on his way to deposit money to a bank.

Noel Ligara Lim, 44 of Colina Moneychanger, and a resident of the place, was robbed in front of a telephone company building in Mabolo and lost an undetermined amount of money supposed to be deposited to a bank in Lahug.

SPO3 Isagani Pugoy of the Theft and Robbery Section said Lim just left his office and was on his way to the bank when three unidentified men crossed his way and ordered him to give up the money.

Pugoy said that a witness told them that the three persons were eating in a tapsilogan near the area and he heard one of them answering his cell phone saying that the victim was coming.

When Lim, who was on a motorcycle, reached the front of the telephone company building, the robbers barred his way and demanded for the money.

Lim told police that the robbers were seasoned as they were calm and collected during the robbery. He last saw them fleeing on a motorcycle headed for Cebu Business Park, but a witness insisted they were headed to Panagdait, Mabolo.
