Mandaue cops nab six for illegal drugs

The Vice Squad Section of the Mandaue City Police Office arrested five suspected drug users and a pusher during a buy-bust operation along P. Remedios St., Banilad the other day.

MCPO director Eduardo Catabas said the six suspects were charged with illegal possession of prohibited drugs in court and were currently detained at Police Station 2 in barangay Subangdaku.

The suspects were identified as Edmund Ouano, Arceo Torrefrancia, Juven Montes, Neil Bontilao, Judith Martinez and Juvelyn Oquilan.

Acting as poseur-buyer, POI Sandy Baclay, transacted illegal drug with the suspects who were arrested later by police operatives led by PO2 Bruce Gairanod having shabu session inside a house.

The lawmen recovered five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, P3,000, a pack of rugby and shabu paraphernalia. - Mitchelle P. Calipayan
