This put the city police against a blank wall over the identity of the three men who robbed the other day the Exquisite Pawnshop and Jewelry Shop on A.S. Fortuna Street in Bakilid, Mandaue City and fled with at least P6 million worth of jewelry and an undetermined amount of cash.
Subangdaku Police Station investigator SPO1 Alfredo Andales said cashier Iylene Janiola and three other pawnshop personnel will be presented next with rogue galleries of other police stations in Cebu City or Lapu-Lapu City.
Andales hoped that other witnesses will also come out to help in the identification of the robbers. He said all angles have been explored to resolve the incident, as he disclosed that the police have likewise considered the possibility of an "inside job."
The robbers seemed to know Janiola held the keys of the pawnshop when they ordered her to open the glass showcase displaying the jewelry, majority of which were new items with only about ten percent as "rematado" items put up for sale.
