"I want his immediate capture as soon as possible," Osmeña said.
Councilor Augustus Pe said the mayor increased the reward since Aves reportedly became a gun-for-hire fratman. Police earlier received information on Aves' whereabouts but this turned out to be unconfirmed.
Aside from Aves, other wanted fraternity members include Erikson Pastorfide (P100,000), Glenn Codiñera (P100,000), Sonny dela Cruz (P50,000), Warren Entera (P50,000), Dino Aresgado (P50,000), Glen Marson (P50,000) and Johnberg Balona (P50,000).
The list of wanted fraternity members first came out in The Freeman on January 27. Weeks after, police arrested dela Cruz at the safe house in sitio Ubca III in barangay Quiot-Pardo.
Early this month, Codiñera, Entera, Marson and Balona voluntarily surrendered to Osmeña.
Cebu City Police Office chief Melvin Gayotin said the reward money raised by the city was of big help in efforts to arrest wanted fratmen because even their own comrades have helped police over information leading to their arrest.
"This is good thing about the rewards kay ilang kauban mohatag man pud og information on their whereabouts," Gayotin said. - Garry B. Lao
