Board member supports probe into ATM mess

A Provincial Board member has supported the move of Bayan Muna Party-list Rep. Teodoro Casiño to investigate complaints from automated teller machine cardholders regarding irregularities and questionable rates in their transactions.
Board Member Joven Mondigo said the representative filed a resolution early this year asking the House committee on banks and financial intermediaries to look into the complaints raised by ATM cardholders.
Casiño's resolution, which was addressed to Manila second district Rep. Jaime C. Lopez, was referred to the House committee on rules.
Mondigo said he supported Casiño's move in order to find solution to the problem.
Board Members Gabriel Luis Quisumbing and Estrella Yapha also expressed support to Mondigo's resolution, which is calendared for discussion in tomorrow's regular session of the board. - Jose P. Sollano
