Sexagenarian widow stabbed in her house

A 65-year-old widow landed at the hospital after she was stabbed inside her house at sitio Tabuc in barangay Poblacion, Danao City last Thursday evening.

Danao City policemen led by SPO1 Rodrigo Roble Jr., rushed to the Danao District Hospital after a hospital staff called them about the stabbing victim.

The victim was later identified as Concepcion Laude Tizon who suffered stab wounds in her left arm and back of her body.

Investigators learned that while Tizon was lying on her bed, at about 9 p.m. last Thursday, a man arrived and entered her house requesting that he will be allowed to stay at her house for the night.

But when she tried to ascertain the man's identity, the man reportedly approached and stabbed her instead before fleeing.

Tizon was rushed to the hospital in Danao but was later transferred to another hospital in Cebu City.

SPO3 Edgar Gomez said investigations are still conducted to determine the motive of the attack and identify the assailant. -Norvie S. Misa
