Man arrested for molesting boy

A homosexual was arrested by tanods of barangay Santo Nino, Cebu City, after they caught him in the act of performing oral sex on a 12-year-old boy near a gasoline station along Jakosalem Street last Thursday evening.

Rodenio Buod, 37, a resident of barangay Bulacao, Pardo, admitted to the crime.

During investigation the boy, a resident of barangay Poblacion, Naga town, said that while he was walking along the street on his way to his aunt's store near the Sto. Niño Church, the suspect grabbed him and brought him to a dark place near a gas station.

The suspect eventually persuaded the boy to let him perform oral sex on him after he threatened to have him beaten up by bystanders. Barangay tanods arrived while Buod was busy and arrested him.

But Buod told the police another story. He said that he was walking alone in the street after watching an X-Rated movie in Colon Street and met the boy whom he befriended and brought to a dark area.

He said the boy asked for money and he gave him P5, then decided to take advantage of him.

"Ni-touch man gani siya sa ako, unya nisugot man sad siya unya giganahan siya," Buod even claimed.

He said it was the second time he was arrested as he was also detained for trespassing in a house in Panganiban Street last year.
