Cops bust 3 drug suspects in two towns, Talisay City

Authorities last Friday arrested a man in Sogod, a woman in Moalboal, and a 16-year-old boy in Talisay City in separate drug bust operations that also yielded a total of three decks and seven packs of shabu.
First to fall Friday afternoon was suspected drug pusher Chito Montecillo, 20, single and resident of barangay Cabalawan in Sogod town.
Members of the Provincial Intelligence and Investigation Bureau, led by Insp. Wilfredo Pulvera, set up a drug buy-bust in barangay Damolog of the town where a police decoy first went to the house of a certain Roger Arnejo to meet with Montecillo to buy shabu.
When Montecillo was about to deliver the shabu to Arnejo's house, he however became suspicious that policemen were in the area so he quickly took a motorcycle-for-hire to escape. This prompted the policemen to give chase, resulting to Montecillo's arrest.
Taken from Montecillo's possession were two decks of shabu while the suspect has been endorsed to the PIIB, said Sogod policeman SPO1 Elvis Arche.
The second to fall was a woman that policemen caught at barangay Poblacion East in Moalboal town that Friday in another drug buy bust operation.
SPO2 Gerry Villarin, acting as buyer, contacted the woman first for a small pack of shabu and when she was about to hand over the item to Villarin, policemen immediately arrested her.
When frisked further, policemen got another deck of shabu and the P200-marked money from her. She is now detained at the Moalboal Police stockade.
The third one arrested was a 16-year-old boy in a saturation drive of the Talisay City Police in sitio Galaxy, barangay Tangke, Talisay City that Friday.
The police got six packs of shabu from the possession of the teenager, who they said was one of those boys that drug pushers utilized in delivering the illegal items to customers.
The boy is now detained at the city police sub-station in Talisay City Hall, waiting to be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development by Monday. - Flor Z. Perolina and Liv G. Campo
