Man shot for refusing to give money to son

A man beat up and shot his father for refusing to give him money yesterday morning inside their house in barangay Tanke, Talisay City.
The suspect, Ranile Fernandez, was able to escape responding policemen while his father, Celso, was immediately brought to Talisay City District Hospital and later transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
Police said Ranile was infuriated when his father refused him a certain amount of money and a heated argument ensued.
Ranile reportedly hit his father in the face and later went to the room to get a gun and shot him in the buttocks.
The police are still verifying whether Celso will file charges against his son. - Garry B. Lao
