13-year-old girl raped in Mandaue City

-
A 13-year-old girl accused a man of raping her last Wednesday in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City.

The girl, who was accompanied by her mother to police station 3 in barangay Basak, told policemen that a certain Rolando Baylosis was the one who raped her.

She said Baylosis entered her room armed with a knife and threatened to kill her if she shouted for help and then raped her before escaping toward barangay Basak.

After the incident the victim told her mother, who brought her to the police.

Police records show that five rape cases were recorded in Mandaue City for November. Most of the victims were minors including a mentally retarded 18-year-old.

The alleged perpetrators of these cases were charged but are still at large.

Meanwhile, a 34-year-old woman was raped by two men inside her house at sitio Cansiloy, barangay Lunop, Boljoon town yesterday dawn.

The victim, a mother of four, was raped by Marlon Ilustrisimo alias "Boboy", 20, and Edmundo Rollon alias "Eddie", 18, both residents of the said barangay.

The victim said the two befriended her at a store, later they went to her house and got in since it had no lock. They then took turns raping her.

She said she did not resist for fear of what they might do to her children. Her husband was working at a piggery in barangay Poblacion of the town at that time.

The suspects were eventually arrested by PO3 Ernesto Villamor, PO3 Nicomedes Aliñabon and PO2 Danilo Sayod. The two are now detained in the Boljoon Municipal Jail as rape charges are being prepared against them. - Jose P. Sollano and Norvie S. Misa
