Girl hurt by stray bullet

A stray bullet hit a three-year-old girl, wounding her in the head in sitio Pulang Yuta, barangay Lo-oc, Danao City.
Rivia Mata, who lives in Pulang Yuta, was rushed by her parents Joselito and Arselita to the Danao District Hospital for treatment, but she was later transferred to a hospital in Cebu City.
Her parents said they were on a motorcycle on their way to watch the mountain bike events of the Southeast Asian Games being held there when they heard a gunshot and saw blood oozing from the head of their daughter, who was sitting on top of the motorcycle gas tank.
The Danao City police are now investigating the incident. - Norvie S. Misa, correspondent
