TF Foundation to give street kids an early Christmas treat
November 27, 2005 | 12:00am
The Freeman Foundation, the heart of The Freeman and Banat newspapers, will be giving street children an early Christmas treat on December 10.
Dubbed as "Adopt an Angel: A Christmas Gathering of Street Children", the activity is the last of the special projects that the foundation has lined up for this year. Working on the theme "We are made for service! A day with the street kids," the 16 volunteers of the foundation will choose three street children each from different areas in Metro Cebu and will treat these children to breakfast at The Freeman Administration Building and to fun and games at the Family Park.
Although the foundation has already tapped a number of sponsors for the activity, such as the Family Park for the venue, and the Damayan of The Philippine Star for the children's breakfast, it would like to once again appeal for help from the readers of The Freeman.
The foundation would need toothbrushes, tumblers, toothpaste, towels, coloring books, pencils, crayons, notepads, shirts, food items, toy, and grocery packs, which will be used as prizes and gift packs for the children. Donations, which will be properly acknowledged, are accepted at The Freeman Administration Building, V. Gullas St., Cebu City until December 8. For more information, please call 255-0926 to 27 and look for Arlene Villacrucis. - Garry B. Lao
