A 69-year-old man was found dead under a dining table in his house on Lopez Jaena Street in barangay Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City Friday afternoon.
His daughter and son-in-law found the body of Bonifacio Lobo Versosa, a mechanical engineer, with his rocking chair lying on top of him.
Versosa was believed to be dead for the past 24 hours already because his body was already nearing a state of decomposition.
Versosa's daughter Sharon and son-in-law Allan Sandal told investigator PO3 William Homoc that their father was suffering from diabetes and was left alone in his house.
Lapu-Lapu City Police desk officer Christian Torres said the family was convinced that Versosa died of his illness. - Norvie S. Misa
