Talisay City Vice Mayor Aberdovey Belleza yesterday warned policemen that they would lose their monthly allowance from the city if he finds out that they are not reporting to their assignments.
Belleza, chairman of the City Council committee on peace and order, and public safety, said that four policemen have already lost their P1,000 allowance for neglecting their post.
He ordered three more policemen to explain why they were not at their post during his inspection Wednesday night.
The vice mayor said there are traffic police officers assigned below the Tabunok flyover to apprehend illegally parked tricycles, but he found out that they are not in the area during his inspection.
Meanwhile, traffic and mobile section chief Rolando Evalle reported to Belleza that they apprehended two "colorum" vans-for-hire at the Tabunok area Wednesday night. - Garry B. Lao
