The Cebu City Police Office yesterday assured that security measures for the participants of the South East Asian Games are already in place in time for the parade on November 25.
Acting city director Melvin Gayotin said they are just waiting for the 150 cops from the Regional Mobile Group who have been designated to augment the police force for the duration of the games.
Gayotin said these RMG personnel will be detailed in the 11 different police stations in the city to replace the cops that have been detailed to the various events of the SEA Games.
Gayotin, who attended a weeklong security summit for the games in Manila last month, told reporters yesterday that there are only three venues in the city expected to be teeming with people. These are the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel in Lahug where the Dance Sport competitions will be held and the Cebu Coliseum for the Pencak Silak.
