A suspected big-time female drug pusher was arrested yesterday in a raid by the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Branch in barangay Duljo-Fatima yesterday dawn, yielding two big packs and six medium packs of substance, believed to be shabu.
Operatives, led by CIIB chief Supt. Paul Labra, staged the simultaneous operations in two houses at past 3 a.m. yesterday with a warrant issued by judge Meinrado Paredes.
In the first house, the policemen arrested Marilou Ferrolino Comighud and seized from her two small empty packs but with suspected shabu residue, a plastic bottle also with suspected shabu residue and repacking paraphernalia.
But in the other house, they initially got stalled when the owner refused to open the door. When the authorities finally forced the door open, the suspect Melicia Ferrolino already escaped.
The raiding team, however, got from Ferrolino's house seven medium plastic packs of suspected shabu.
Sources said Comighud, allegedly a Level 2 pusher who can dispose of at least 200 grams up to a kilo of shabu a week, acquired her stocks from a supplier in barangay Pasil.
Meanwhile along the way, the CIIB team along with councilor Augustus "Jun" Pe seized seven video karera machines displayed in plain view at a house, and arrested four men and a woman who were sniffing shabu.
Based on the police records, the suspects identified as Rey Angel Medina Austria, Joseph Gutierrez, Bueno Villagonzalo and Victor Antipuesto were arrested in possession of sniffing paraphernalia while Lydia Ferrolino Abanez was allegedly caught in possession of illegal drugs.
All of them are now detained in the police stockade along with Comighud. - Ryan P. Borinaga
