Cops nab 3 suspected robbers

Three men suspected behind a series of robberies in Mandaue City were arrested by the police the other day.
Police identified those arrested as Leonardo Pepito, 27, of Logarta Street, barangay Tejero; Dick Napalo, 23, of barangay Tisa and Iluminado Parojinog, 22, of Pier 3, all in Cebu City.
They were identified as responsible for taking the jewelry, cellphone and cash of Clint Anthony Aballe, 24, of barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.
Initial investigation conducted by SPO2 Alfredo Andales of Station 2 in barangay Subangdaku revealed that Aballe was walking in the reclamation area in barangay Subangdaku around 1 p.m., the other day when one of the three suspects approached him.
The man pulled out a knife and declared a hold-up while the other two took the victim's wallet and cellphone.
The robbers were last seen running towards barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City.
Residents nearby called up the police for assistance and responding members of the Mandaue City Special Weapons and Tactics team cornered the suspects.
Police also recovered the cellphone and other important personal belongings of Aballe.
The suspects are presently detained at the Mandaue City jail awaiting the filing of charges against them.
