Seaman shot on leg during tiff over girl

A seaman who is presently on vacation landed in the hospital after he was shot by a jealous customer of a karaoke bar inside the GMC Arcade Building in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City, yesterday dawn.
Jener Rosos, 24, a resident of sitio Langub, barangay Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City was immediately brought to the Mactan Community Hospital after a bullet grazed his forehead while another bullet hit his left leg.
Bar patrons said he was shot by a customer who was only identified as a certain "Cal" inside a comfort room of the building yesterday dawn.
Based on the investigation conducted by SPO2 Rolito Jumao-as of the Homicide section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police, Rosos was allegedly shot by the suspect with a 9mm cal. pistol in the forehead and left leg.
Based in the investigation conducted by the police at the crime scene, the suspect got jealous because one of the entertainers of the said karaoke bar, whom he had been courting for quite a long time, no longer entertained him but was instead entertaining the victim and his friend.
Jumao-as said that the victim went to relieve himself inside the comfort room and was followed by the suspect who then pointed the gun against his nape.
When Rosos turned around, the suspect fired but the bullet only grazed the victim's forehead and a scuffle then ensued between the two.
Rosos was eventually able to grab the gun but it went off and hit him in the left leg, but the victim was still able to swat the gun away, causing the suspect to flee from the place together with his unidentified companion.
The gun was then found by the victim's friend who came to follow him after he heard the gunshots and he turned it over to the responding team led by SPO1 Manuel Pasadoble.
An empty 9mm shell was recovered at the crime scene.
Police are now conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect. - Flor Z. Perolina
