In order to get an assessment on how its members would evaluate its 25-year performance, the Home Mutual Development Fund, better known as the Pag-ibig Fund, is spearheading an essay writing contest open to all active members in line with its 25th anniversary on December 14.
Entries for the contest are required to focus on the theme "Pag-ibig Fund: Affecting lives through its loan programs."
This is a nationwide essay-writing contest open to all active members except employees, regardless of employment status, and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity.
Pag-ibig Fund Cebu regional manager Victoria dela Peña said the deadline for submission of entries is on November 18 at the different Pag-ibig regional offices nationwide.
All entries must be in English with a minimum of 1,600 words and must not exceed 2,000 words.
An official entry form must be filled out completely and attached to the manuscript as covering page. For easy identification, the entry title, full name of the author and the page number must also appear on the first two lines of every succeeding page.
Entries must be typewritten on a short-sized bond paper, double-spaced and must use the Arial font format size 12. Entries must be original and shall automatically become the property of Pag-ibig Fund and shall be posted on the Fund's official website.
Entries shall be judged based on content and substance, relevance to the theme, organization of ideas and composition.
First prize will receive P25, 000; P15, 000 and P10, 000 for second and third prizes respectively. - Gregg M. Rubio
