Motorbike kills boy who 'slept' on road

A 13-year-old boy who was reportedly making fun by sleeping on the road was crushed to death by a speeding motorcycle in barangay Prenza, Balamban town Thursday dawn.
Mark Anthony Loste, a resident of the place, was with his friends when he pretended to be sleeping in the middle of the Grand Central Highway.
Initial investigation conducted by the Balamban police said the victim and his friends came from barangay Poblacion and took a rest along the highway.
But when Loste made fun to his friends by sleeping in the middle of the highway, a speeding motorcycle heading toward barangay Poblacion suddenly hit him.
The victim died instantly while the unidentified driver, who was believed to have sustained a crack in his head, immediately fled after the incident.
PO2 Rañelito Villarion told The Freeman that the autopsy on the victim's body revealed that he was possibly hit by the foot wrench of the motorcycle. - Norvie S. Misa
