A Swiss woman lost P30,000 in cash and items after her bag was taken by two unidentified men while she was at a pizza parlor inside a mall in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City, last Friday noon.
Chillote Evelene, 28, of Monthley, Switzerland, and presently billeted at the Mactan Pension House, barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City, told the Lapu-Lapu police that about 11:20 a.m. Friday, while she was inside the pizza parlor waiting for her ordered pizza, she placed her black backpack on the seat beside her.
The backpack contained two wallets with P8,000, a Kodak camera worth 500 Swiss Francs, equivalent to more or less P20,000, and other personal effects.
Suddenly a man and his companion grabbed her backpack and both hurriedly got into a taxicab waiting outside the mall. Evelene tried to run after them but failed to catch up.
