Man, 2 sons injured in road accident

A man and his two sons were injured after they were hit by a vehicle while walking along Lopez Jaena St. in barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City, Tuesday morning.
Mandaue police traffic department identified the victims as Fernando Navarro, 39, and his sons Carlo, 9, and Forland, 7, of Saac, Lapu-Lapu City.
Initial investigation revealed that at around 9:50 a.m. last Tuesday, Junmar Paragoso, 33, of barangay Dumlog, Talisay City, was driving his vehicle, a Toyota Lite Ace with plate number GWK-313, bound for Cebu City from the Mandaue City public market.
Upon reaching Lopez Jaena St. in barangay Tipolo, Paragoso reportedly lost control of the vehicle and hit Navarro and his sons. Residents in the area rushed the victims to the Mandaue City Hospital for treatment while Paragoso surrendered to the police. - Jose P. Sollano
