Fiscal orders release of Akrho man linked to cousin's killing

-
Alpha Kappa Rho member Tyke Lomibao was yesterday ordered released from detention after the evidence against him was found weak to implicate him in the killing of his cousin Charles Kales Capsa in barangay Sambag 2 last October 3.

GMA-7's Balitang Bisdak, in an exclusive report yesterday afternoon, said the city prosecutor issued the order because the evidence that the homicide section has presented was weak and not enough to pin down Lomibao to the case.

The homicide section had included Lomibao in the murder case filed against Ritchie John Moreno, another Akrho member, who was tagged as the alleged killer of Capsa.

Before the killing, Lomibao and Capsa reportedly had a heated argument at the Capsa compound after which the former left the place purportedly to seek the help of his fraternity brothers.

Moreno and two others allegedly responded, went to the place and gunned down Capsa. Moreno surrendered the next day but only said he feared for his life. He is currently detained at the Bagong Buhay Rehabilitation Center.

Murder charges were filed last October 5 against Moreno, along with two other suspects Alexander Pala and Evan Sala who are still at large.

Lomibao himself signed a waiver of detention and was kept at the Guadalupe Police stockade until the prosecutor's order was issued.

The prosecutor said Lomibao should remain free unless there is new and strong evidence linking him to the crime. - Ryan P. Borinaga
