Fetus found at back of schoolroom
September 29, 2005 | 12:00am
A fetus estimated to be about a month old was found at the back of a classroom in Tabunok Central School in Talisay City yesterday morning covered with card board.
Four grade-3 pupils reportedly discovered the fetus when they were playing near the area at around 6:00 am yesterday.
The four then informed school authorities. Dr. Milagros Carloto, medical officer of Lagtang health center, could not yet determine the gender of the fetus.
Tabunok Central School principal Buenvenido Delima believed that a student of the Tabunok Night High School was responsible in leaving the fetus at the back of the classroom, saying that, "taas man kaayo ang perimeter fence aron ilabay ang maong fetus (the perimeter fence is too high, the fetus could not have been tossed over)."
Besides, Delima said, there are security guards manning the school premises at nighttime.
