September 29, 2005 | 12:00am
Unidentified men shot a councilman of barangay Tunghaan, Minglanilla last Monday dawn while he was driving his multi-cab on his way home from a benefit dance.
James Getuaban was hit on his left shoulder and is now in serious condition at a hospital.
Minglanilla policemen, while still investigating the incident, said that they had already invited two barangay residents for interrogation to determine if they have some knowledge of the shooting.
Joseph Espinosa and Ace Joseph Alipin were reported to have been scolded by the councilman outside the basketball court where the dance was held.
The dance was still going on when Getuaban saw Espinosa and Alipin fighting outside the area so he ordered them to stop and allegedly berated them for their acts.
