Jovito Payao, 37, married, and a resident of the place, was lent an airgun by neighbor Francisco Pepito. Pepito told SPO1 Carlos Cordino he last saw Payao sitting on a bamboo bench waiting for chickens.
A few minutes later, he heard bursts of gunfire and saw Payao falling from the bench.
Pepito took Payao to hospital in a "trisikad." However, Payao died on the way.
Dr. Nicomedes Javel ,the attending physician, said Payao was shot by an airgun, a pellet remained lodged in his throat. - Flor Z.Perolina
