Drug raid loses bulk to drug suspect's ma

Authorities arrested a 28-year-old suspected drug pusher who was found with a pack of shabu, among other items, at a raid in barangay Kamagayan, Saturday afternoon, but the raid came a bit late because the bulk of the shabu was already taken by the suspect's mother.
Parian police deputy chief Elma Delos Santos yesterday told The Freeman that it was the first arrest of the suspect identified as Allan Catalan, although his name always figured in the police watch list as an alleged Level 2 pusher.
A Level 2 pusher can dispose of at least 200 grams up to a kilo of shabu in a week, said the policeman.
Delos Santos said the raiding team was armed with a search warrant issued by judge Simeon Dumdum Jr., and arrived at the place at about 3:25 p.m.
But Delos Santos admitted that their asset had it wrong because when they arrived at the area, they were told they were already late and the bigger shabu stock was already with Catalan's mother who had already left.
