Vic Loot back as CPPO head

-
Police Superintendent Vicente Loot is now back at his old post as director of the Cebu Provincial Police Office three months after he was relieved due to political intervention.

Loot's reinstallation as CPPO director came after Police Regional Office-7 director Eduardo Gador signed an order of revamp in the regional headquarters with former officer-in-charge of the CPPO P/Supt. Drusillo Bolodo now appointed as the OIC chief of the Directorial Staff for one month while its former head PSr/Supt. Lani-o Nerez is attending school in Indonesia.

Aside from being the deputy regional director for Operations, PSr/Supt. Ronald Roderos will also be the OIC deputy regional director for administration now that its former head PSr/Supt. Joselito Tan was transferred to its national headquarters in Camp Crame.

PSr/Supt. Augusto Marquez will now head the Regional Intelligence and Investigation Division and its former head PSr/Supt. Rodel Calungsod will now be PRO-7 camp commander and head of the Regional Security Services Group.

Police Community Relations head PSr/Supt. Carmelo Valmoria will now take the post of Operations Head while former Mandaue City Police deputy director PSr/Supt. Alexander Abdinas is now the Police Regional Community Relations head.

Loot who was appointed by Governor Gwendolyn Garcia last March was relieved from his post in May after a political figure worked for his relief for the reason that he was not qualified for the post because a CPPO director should have the rank of Police Senior Superintendent.- Flor Z. Perolina
