On Friday, the electric utility would replace rotten poles at its Paknaan sub-station that would affect a portion of barangay Labangon, particularly 4th, 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th and 14th streets of Doña Rosario Village. The brownout will last for three hours from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
On Saturday, VECO would upgrade its primary line and transformers from 4.1 kilovolts to 13.8 kilovolts system and transfer to EMT50 and EMT59 feeders (Ermita substations).
From 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., there would be no electricity in some parts of barangays Pahina Central, Ermita, and Kalubihan, particularly Leon Kilat St. (from corner Colon St. up to Magallanes St.), Escaño St. (from corner Magallanes up to corner Kawit St.) and J. Leyson St. (from corner Escaño up to Noli Me Tangere Street.).
Business establishments that would be affected are Ermita Merchandising, Chan Oh Tan Wu building, Visayan Corn Mill, Velez Paulin building, Cebu Bionic Builders, Gochan building, and Lane building.
At the same time, outages would occur in barangay Sto. Niño, particularly Colon corner Jakosalem Streets, Jakosalem St. and part of P. Gomez St. - Wenna A. Berondo
