Aznar scion, friend die in road accident

The son of Aznar Shipping Lines owner and former Provincial Board member George Aznar, Sr., and his friend were killed when they figured in a traffic accident the other night along the national road in barangay Guinsay, Danao City.
Based on the investigation conducted by the Danao City police, George Aznar Jr., 31, married, and a resident of barangay Poblacion, Talisay City, was driving his Nissan California vehicle from Carmen town to Cebu City when the accident occurred.
Police said that Aznar's car, with Plate No. DKD-548, was cruising when it suddenly skidded and crashed into a tree.
Aznar and his friend, Alfred Dillote, 34, single, of barangay Basak Pardo sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to Danao City General Hospital but physicians declared them dead.
Aznar's other companion, Jeffrey Roque, of barangay Basak Pardo was later released from the hospital.
