Court junks case against "pusher"

For not complying with the proper way of arresting an offender, Regional Trial Court judge Gabriel Ingles yesterday dismissed the case against a resident of barangay Ermita for drug possession in February 11, 2004.

The court ruled that the one pack of shabu seized from Hermis Baclay could not be used against him because his arrest was illegal and any contraband seized from him is inadmissible as evidence.- Rene U. Borromeo
