The city's health board has decided to increase the meal budget from P20 per patient to P30 for ward-room patients and from P30 to P50 for semi-private patients and private room patients.
Mayor Thadeo Ouano, chairman of the city health board cited the need to increase the meal allowance of the patients after a meeting with members of the board.
Dr. Dominga Obenza, chief of the city hospital discussed to the members of the board the request of the Dietitian of the hospital to increase the meal budget of the patients. Obenza said that last year the city hospital served 4,126 patients and 8,519 outpatients were extended quality service.
