Gwen, Sanchez get more power

Governor Gwen Garcia and Vice Governor Greg Sanchez may soon have budget-augmenting authority, or the power to get part of the savings of a certain office and move it to cover the deficiency of the appropriation of another item without the need for another PB act of appropriation.
This was after the PB committee on laws, headed by PB member Antonio Almirante (2nd district), recently endorsed the proposed measure, which was sponsored by PB member Gabriel Luis Quisumbing (6th district).
If the PB approved this measure, the two top provincial officials could use part of an appropriated fund or saving of a certain item to augment another item needing the money.
The proposed measure also states that it is no longer necessary to specify what item will be augmented. - Ferliza C. Contratista
