He said he has noticed two white cars lurking near his house Saturday night.
One of Dumpit's neighbor had alleged that one of the passengers of the two cars had inquired whether Dumpit lives in the area. As this developed, Dumpit has expressed confidence that the investigation that would be conducted by the Visayas Ombudsman will not prosper because he is under suspension.
The Ombudsman is scheduled to investigate whether Dumpit was wrong in joining the team that arrested robbery suspect Danny Limotan in Valencia, Bukidnon last Monday while he is serving his suspension.
Dumpit said there was nothing wrong there because he merely served as a guide to the team being from Mindanao.
He said his participation was voluntary because he was planning to proceed to his hometown in Davao Oriental to help in the farm of his parents supposedly to earn a living while he is under suspension.
But when he was already there, he said he was asked to return to Cebu because the marksmanship training of the city police would start soon. The occasion would allegedly give Dumpit the opportunity to earn a stipend while under suspension.
Dumpit received last Tuesday P8,400 from an overseas contract worker in Africa who promised to help him while he is serving his one-year suspension.
The overseas worker who wants to remain anonymous sent the money to his wife who is based in Cebu city, and who last Monday asked somebody to deliver it to the office of acting-city director Melvin Gayotin.
Dumpit said the money would be used to pay for the tuition of his 11-year-old son.
Two days after his participation in the successful arrest of Ruel Rey Torres in Aurora Zambonga del Sur, the Ombudsman for the Military ordered Dumpit suspended him for a year due to a grave misconduct case. - Ryan P. Borinaga
