Tito Laspuna, 41, sustained a single shot on the neck. He did not make it alive to hospital.
His wife Delia said she couldn't think of anyone wanting to kill them. They did not have enemies, she said.
A gunman appeared suddenly and shot Laspuna. Laspuna left behind six children.
Police presume it was a case of mistaken identity for the reason that the gunman was allegedly heard to have uttered "di mao, da (It's not him)" as he fled the scene.
Laspuna did not engage in petty crimes. His wife was always with him to sell bananas. - Ryan P. Borinaga
