A security guard assigned to a resort in Daan Bantayan town was shot dead by an unidentified man last Wednesday evening
Initial investigation revealed that Antonio Gader, 50, a resident of sitio Pangpang, barangay Tapilon, Daan Bantayan town, was shot to death by an assailant who still stabbed him several times after he fell.
Gader was at his post in Cliff Resort when he was killed.
Barangay councilman Bonifacio Sanchez said that owner of the said resort, James Jones, reported that his sister-in-law Ely Navarro, who is the caretaker of the resort, called him through telephone and told him about the incident.
Jones said Navarro told him she was in her room when she heard several gunshots outside. When she went out to verify, she saw the victim already lying on the ground.
